Eksteenskuil Kleinboere (Pty) Ltd is the commercial farming and agricultural growth company established by Eksteenskuil Agricultural Co-operative. Through strategic land acquisition, diversified production and responsible management, the company works to generate sustainable income, strengthen local agriculture and create opportunities for the Eksteenskuil community.

Eksteenskuil Kleinboere (Pty) Ltd was established in 2023 as part of a new phase of growth for Eksteenskuil Agricultural Co-operative.
The company builds on a long history of collective agricultural development that began with the establishment of the Eksteenskuil Farmers’ Association in 1994 and continued with the registration of Eksteenskuil Agricultural Co-operative in 2006.

The Co-operative’s 112 members collectively decided that 100% of the company’s shares would be held by EAC. This ensures that the company’s growth remains connected to the interests of the Co-operative and its members.

Ghoenmas Landgoed
Ghoemas Landgoed is a 44-hectare agricultural property acquired in 2024 for R6.5 million through development finance provided by Hortfin.
The acquisition created opportunities for the company to expand its farming activities and diversify production across vineyards, lucerne, cotton and maize.

Eksteenskuil’s raisin production has earned recognition for its quality and contributes to the community’s growing presence within the horticultural market.
EAC’s involvement with Raisins SA and the South African Table Grape Industry strengthens access to agricultural knowledge, industry networks and market opportunities.
The collective structure also gives members greater bargaining power when purchasing production inputs and marketing their products. This collaborative approach supports more favourable trading opportunities and demonstrates the value of organised, community-owned agricultural development.
